Jennifer & Mark Ostrowski
Fitness Leaders & Life Coaches
Do not be fooled by Mark & Jennifer's healthy glow and fit bodies. A mere 4 years ago, they were carrying an extra 152+ pounds between the two of them. With Mark's high stress legal career and Jennifer's busy life as an educator, plus being parents to three (aweseome!) kids, volunteering, coaching youth sports, and other daily obligations, they lost track of themselves, their marriage and their health.
After their oldest son approached a coach and mentor and said, “I’m worried about my Dad! Can you help him?” Jen and Mark shifted life into high gear, and began a quest to transform their old unhealthy habits into a brand new lifestyle! From depression and despondency, to being in the best shape of their lives, Mark and Jennifer provide inspiration to those in need of hope, ideas and encouragement.
Canadian Mountie & Nature Boy
You might wonder why the hell you would climb on to a mountain bike and follow our resident Canadian into the wilderness. Truth is, he’s a tech guy – building tech companies. That’s not really relevant here, but it’s true. But when Derek is not doing that, his temple is being outside. You will find Derek on a mountain bike 12 months a year on some of the greatest terrain known. Every…single…day…he rides…runs…or does something to get into the great outdoors.
If you are coming out to Northern California for the first time you are in for a treat. Your soul will be nourished with the energy that flows from our mountains, trails and trees. Derek would be honored to lead you into this bounty. If it is mountain bike rides on the unfathomable flume trail, runs in the Olympic Valley, or a hike up Shirley Lake to the breathtaking vistas above Lake Tahoe, he is excited to share the experience with you!
Yoga Instructor & Jeweler Extraordinaire
Lesley Ball’s love affair with yoga started as a therapeutic means of treating severe Carpal Tunnel Syndrome approximately 10 years ago. Yoga instantly resonated, challenged and healed her in ways she never would have imagined. It helped her maintain some sanity navigating motherhood (to 3 awesome daughters) and was and continues to be her greatest teacher.
Lesley is thrilled to have the opportunity to put her 200hour YTT certification to work and feels incredible joy with helping people learn about their own bodies, alignment, breathwork and movement though an asana practice and deep connection to living in truth, joy and peace. She’s had several career and education paths that she has loved including working in Neuro-rehab. Moving from Calgary AB, Canada to Marin County opened up an opportunity to start a home-based business. She worked on developing creative skills in Jewelry design and started Bodhi Beadworks and is an artisan with the AIM (Agricultural Institute of Marin )Farmer’s Markets. She loves spending time with her husband, daughters and dog Kuma in nature as much as possible, hiking and backpacking, skiing, goofing around and going to see live music.
Hot Yoga Badass
Jessica, raised in Santa Cruz, CA, is the youngest of six children She had planned to be a professional soccer player or stunt woman in martial arts, but her knees finally gave out after seven surgeries. After getting her master's degree, Jessica had a successful career at Genentech, but while she loved Genentech, she did not love sitting behind a desk all day.
Marriage and motherhood followed but after hurting herself on a run, three weeks after having her first child, Jessica found yoga and has never looked back. Jessica Smith's approach to yoga is light-hearted, focused and compassionate. The joy she radiates on and off the mat is inspirational.
